Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) and personal hygiene.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
- Assist Medical Staff: Support RNs and LPNs with medical procedures, wound care, and patient transfers using proper body mechanics.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records regarding patient status and care provided.
- Environment Maintenance: Ensure patient rooms and common areas are clean, sanitized, and safe at all times.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient needs and changes in condition to the nursing team and family members.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certification: Current CNA Certification or willingness to obtain certification through our training program.
- Experience: No prior experience required; we value attitude and aptitude over experience.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move patients, and perform physical tasks.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Licensure: Must possess a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
