Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Administer medication as prescribed by registered nurses or physicians.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Communicate any changes in a patient's condition to the nursing staff immediately.
- Support patients and families with emotional needs and daily living activities.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Texas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient safety.
