Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Monitor vital signs, blood pressure, temperature, and pulse regularly and report significant changes to the RN.
- Personal Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations and facility standards.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Hygiene & Safety: Ensure a clean, safe, and infection-free environment for all patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current, unencumbered Florida CNA license required.
- Training: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centric approach.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift, turn, and move patients as needed; good physical stamina.
