Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care under the direct supervision of nursing staff and registered nurses.
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) accurately and report any abnormalities.
- Support patients with mobility issues using transfer equipment (walkers, wheelchairs, hoyer lifts) safely.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the wider healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment at all times.
- Administer medication as prescribed and documented correctly.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Current CNA certification (or eligibility to obtain one through our training program).
- Strong compassion and a genuine desire to help others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Basic computer proficiency for electronic health record documentation.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (optional but preferred).
