Responsibilities
- Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during their hospital stay.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and medical staff.
- Communicate any changes in a patient’s condition to the nursing staff and physicians immediately.
- Prepare and serve meals according to strict dietary restrictions and patient preferences.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments under the supervision of licensed nurses.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required (valid in Missouri).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is highly preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and assist with patient transfers safely.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
