Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature accurately.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and prevent bedsores.
- Communicate effectively with nurses, doctors, and families regarding patient conditions and changes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized patient environment at all times.
- Document patient care plans and daily activities in electronic health records.
Qualifications
- Current, valid CNA certification issued by the state of Texas.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients weighing up to 250 lbs.
- Compassionate, patient-oriented, and detail-driven work ethic.
