Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, accurately and promptly.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfer using proper body mechanics and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient status and needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the RN or Physician under supervision.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Document all patient care activities and changes in patient condition in electronic medical records.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required and in good standing with the state of North Carolina.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is mandatory.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but we welcome new graduates.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate bedside manner.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, as the unit is 24/7 operation.
- Physical stamina to perform duties requiring standing, walking, and lifting patients.
