Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including the use of walkers, wheelchairs, and hoyer lifts as necessary.
- Document patient information accurately and completely in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the Registered Nurse (RN) or Physician.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with infection control protocols.
Qualifications
- Current and active Florida CNA license (or eligibility to obtain).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care, hospital, or home health setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move patients up to 250 lbs.
- Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to patient-centered care.
