Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Monitor patient health status, including vital signs and physical symptoms, and report any changes to the nursing staff immediately.
- Provide basic patient care, such as turning and repositioning patients to prevent bedsores.
- Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) and logs.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure holistic care.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding as required for patients with dietary restrictions.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- Certification: Current Georgia CNA certification or willingness to obtain certification within a specified timeframe.
- Compassion: A genuine desire to help others and a compassionate bedside manner.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Reliability: Punctual and dependable work history.
