Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature accurately and in a timely fashion.
- Provide basic wound care and assist with mobility aids as directed by nursing staff.
- Communicate patient concerns and changes in condition to the charge nurse or supervisor immediately.
- Prepare and serve meals while ensuring dietary restrictions are followed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment to prevent infections and accidents.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients to improve their quality of life.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- CNA Certification (or eligibility to obtain) is a plus but not mandatory for this entry-level role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks like lifting and transferring patients.
- Basic computer literacy for documentation purposes.
- CPR certification (or willingness to acquire) is preferred.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented attitude.
