Responsibilities
- Chairside assistance during dental procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Execute digital radiography and intraoral imaging with precision
- Manage sterilization protocols and infection control compliance
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for efficient workflow
- Deliver post-operative instructions and patient education
- Maintain accurate digital patient records and clinical documentation
- Coordinate seamless communication between dentists and support staff
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state-recognized)
- X-Ray certification with current state compliance
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Mastery of digital practice management systems (Dentrix/Eaglesoft)
- Exceptional chairside demeanor and patient rapport skills
- Ability to manage multiple procedures with calm efficiency
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA protocols
- Valid Louisiana dental radiography permit
