Job Summary
As a CNA at Apex Health Care, you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort and well-being of our residents and patients. You will work closely with our nursing staff to deliver high-quality care that meets the highest standards of the industry.
Responsibilities
- Monitor Patient Health: Observe and report changes in patients' physical or emotional condition accurately.
- Assist with Daily Living: Help patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Vital Signs: Measure and record patient temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Mobility Support: Assist patients with walking, transferring, and positioning to prevent falls and injuries.
- Hygiene & Sanitation: Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized environment for all patients.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient care records and charts.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current and valid New York State CNA license.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting preferred.
- CPR Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients frequently throughout the shift.
- Empathy: Compassionate nature and a genuine desire to help others.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
