Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with examinations and procedures
- Administer medications and injections per protocols
- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and point-of-care testing
- Manage patient records and electronic documentation
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize equipment
- Provide patient education on treatment plans
- Coordinate lab results and referrals
- Maintain HIPAA compliance standards
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA/CCMA) or graduate of accredited program
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure situations
- Proficient with EHR systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Tennessee state license or eligibility
