Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians with clinical procedures
- Administer injections, medications, and perform vital sign assessments
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems and maintain accurate documentation
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure examination rooms are stocked and sanitized
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Assist with laboratory testing and specimen processing
- Collaborate with healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent certification
- Active CPR certification and BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a medical setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) and medical software
- Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask in high-pressure situations
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical terminology
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends
