Responsibilities
- Perform routine patient intake, vitals checks, and medical history assessments.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians during procedures.
- Administer injections, immunizations, and medications under strict supervision.
- Manage and maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and documentation.
- Coordinate patient scheduling, referrals, and follow-up care.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
Qualifications
- Certification as a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant), RMA (Registered Medical Assistant), or equivalent degree.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Medical Records systems.
- Valid New York State Medical Assistant license (if required by state regulations).
