Responsibilities
- Perform vital signs and prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with medical procedures and treatments.
- Manage front desk reception duties including patient scheduling, insurance verification, and check-in processes.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records in the EMR system.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments according to strict protocols.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) is required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Strong proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Commitment to patient confidentiality and strict HIPAA compliance.
