Responsibilities
- Perform routine patient vitals, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse checks, ensuring accuracy and patient comfort.
- Assist physicians and nursing staff during examinations, procedures, and treatments with precision and care.
- Prepare examination rooms by sterilizing equipment, arranging instruments, and maintaining a clean, organized environment.
- Manage patient records by updating Electronic Health Records (EHR), verifying insurance information, and filing necessary documents.
- Administer medications, injections, and perform basic laboratory tests (e.g., blood draws, urinalysis) under strict supervision.
- Greet patients warmly, manage check-in/check-out processes, and answer general inquiries to ensure a positive patient experience.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
- Previous experience in a clinical or outpatient setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Records (EHR) software systems.
