Responsibilities
- Conduct Patient Intake: Verify patient history, record vital signs, and prepare patients for examinations.
- Administrative Support: Manage appointment scheduling, patient charts, and insurance verification efficiently.
- Assist with Procedures: Prepare exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and assist physicians during minor procedures.
- Lab Work: Perform basic lab tests, draw blood, and collect specimens following strict protocols.
- Compliance: Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain strict patient confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA, RMA, or NCMA certification required.
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in a clinical setting preferred (New Grads welcome).
- Licensure: New York State Medical Assistant license.
- Cardiopulmonary: BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Skills: Strong communication skills and proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
