Responsibilities
- Perform routine vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and patient assessments accurately.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians during medical procedures.
- Manage patient records and intake forms using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Assist with phlebotomy and EKG procedures as required by the department.
- Handle administrative duties including scheduling appointments and verifying insurance information.
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and organized examination room environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital staff to ensure high-quality care.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient care.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, urgent care environment.
- Proficiency with computer software and medical terminology.
