Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures including patient examinations, immunizations, and specimen collection
- Perform vital sign monitoring and EKG procedures with precision
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems ensuring accurate documentation
- Coordinate patient flow and maintain examination room readiness
- Administer medications under physician supervision with strict adherence to protocols
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Current Arizona Medical Assistant certification or eligible for immediate certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a hospital or urgent care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/EMR preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification with current validation
- Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical terminology
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
