Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications accurately according to physician orders.
- Verify patient information, prescription details, and insurance coverage.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of pharmaceutical stock and order supplies as needed.
- Assist pharmacists with compounding and sterile preparation tasks.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and resolving medication inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations and HIPAA guidelines.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) by PTCB or ExCPT required.
- Current state pharmacy technician license.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing prescriptions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with pharmacy management software.
