Responsibilities
- Perform routine medical examinations and accurately record patient vitals (blood pressure, temperature, weight).
- Prepare patients for examinations by assisting with history taking and positioning.
- Administer medications and injections under the direct supervision of a licensed physician.
- Manage patient records, update electronic health records (EHR) accurately and confidentially.
- Coordinate follow-up appointments and assist with referrals to specialists.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment.
- Handle administrative tasks such as insurance verification and patient check-in/check-out procedures.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience preferred, but new graduates with strong clinical skills are encouraged to apply.
- Strong computer proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evening shifts.
- Valid state licensure and background check clearance.
