As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in patient care, ensuring our clinic runs smoothly and our patients feel welcomed and cared for.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and verify insurance information accurately.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during visits.
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and basic laboratory tests (phlebotomy).
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in EHR systems.
- Schedule patient appointments and manage referrals.
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA).
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Arizona state license or ability to obtain one.
