Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including vital sign monitoring, EKGs, and specimen collection
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and maintain examination rooms
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Administer medications and injections per physician protocols
- Handle patient scheduling and insurance verification processes
- Coordinate with laboratory and radiology departments for seamless care
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and infection control standards
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a fast-paced environment
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic/EMR preferred)
- Strong phlebotomy and venipuncture skills
- Exceptional communication and multitasking abilities
- Flexibility to work 12-hour night shifts (7pm-7am)
- Valid Michigan state medical assistant license
