Responsibilities
- Review and accurately code medical services using CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes
- Submit clean claims to insurance companies and manage accounts receivable
- Resolve billing discrepancies and patient inquiries with exceptional customer service
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and healthcare billing standards
- Analyze aging reports and implement collection strategies
- Collaborate with clinical teams to document services accurately
- Utilize Epic or similar EPM systems for billing operations
Qualifications
- 1+ years of medical billing experience with insurance claim submission
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Proficiency in medical terminology and coding guidelines
- Expert knowledge of HIPAA compliance and billing regulations
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and billing software (Epic, Cerner, etc.)
- Strong analytical skills for claim resolution and denial management
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
