Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate patient care including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, accurately and timely.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring them from beds to wheelchairs or walking aids.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient needs.
- Communicate patient status and concerns to RNs and physicians to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
Qualifications
- Current and active CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) license in the State of North Carolina.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients and families.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient dignity and respect.
- Reliable transportation and ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
