Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in a dynamic healthcare environment.
- Monitor patient vital signs, symptoms, and progress, documenting all observations and care provided accurately.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
- Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor under pressure.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care strategies.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New Mexico (and eligibility for Texas licensure).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred, preferably in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer literacy.
