Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and determine medical urgency using standardized triage protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams
- Document patient encounters accurately in EMR systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Collaborate with physicians to develop appropriate care plans for emergency patients
- Monitor patient flow and adjust staffing assignments based on acuity levels
- Provide patient education on home care and follow-up procedures
Qualifications
- Current Wisconsin RN license with minimum 2 years ER/urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Proficiency in Epic or similar EMR systems
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during high-volume situations
- Bachelor's in Nursing preferred
