Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone and in-person triage to determine medical urgency
- Collaborate with physicians to prioritize patient cases and allocate resources
- Document patient encounters accurately in EMR systems per HIPAA standards
- Provide clear medical guidance to patients and concerned family members
- Manage high-volume call queues during peak hours while maintaining quality care
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for triage protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California (CA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ER or urgent care setting
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficiency in Epic or similar EMR systems
- Exceptional critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
- Spanish bilingual preferred (not required)
