Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity and prioritize emergency cases using standardized protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
- Document assessments and interventions accurately in EMR systems
- Provide critical guidance to patients and families during high-stress situations
- Maintain compliance with NY State nursing regulations and hospital policies
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active NY RN license with minimum 2 years ER/urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Proven ability to make rapid clinical decisions under pressure
- Excellent communication and de-escalation skills
- EMR proficiency (Epic or Cerner preferred)
- Ability to start immediately upon offer
