Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments using Emergency Severity Index (ESI) protocols
- Oversee patient flow in the emergency department waiting area
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to determine care priorities
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records
- Provide initial interventions and stabilize critical patients
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary staff
- Maintain compliance with Joint Commission and OSHA standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Ohio
- Minimum 2 years emergency department experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Strong assessment and decision-making skills
- Experience with ESI triage protocols preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- EMR proficiency (Epic experience preferred)
