Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility, transferring, and ambulation using proper techniques.
- Communicate changes in patient condition or behavior to the Registered Nurse (RN) or charge nurse immediately.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and assist patients with eating.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Document patient care activities accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).
Qualifications
- Current and active CNA License in the state of New Mexico.
- Certification in BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented demeanor.
