Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature accurately.
- Assist patients with mobility, transferring, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and individual needs.
- Document patient care plans, daily progress, and any changes in condition in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Valid and current Texas CNA Certification (Required).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers (Required).
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong compassion, patience, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
