Job Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and empathetic CNA to provide high-quality patient care. You will play a crucial role in our residents' daily lives, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Turn, reposition, and move patients to prevent bedsores and maintain mobility.
- Prepare and serve meals, ensuring dietary restrictions are met.
- Transport patients to and from medical appointments or therapy sessions using wheelchairs or walkers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe patient environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Current and valid California State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) License.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Compassionate demeanor with a patient-centered approach to care.
