Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide direct personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance as needed.
- Vital Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Mobility Support: Assist patients with transferring in and out of beds, wheelchairs, and walking with walkers or canes.
- Hygiene Maintenance: Change linens, clean patient rooms, and ensure a safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment for residents.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active and current Louisiana CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) license required.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification is mandatory.
- Experience: Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is highly preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
