Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient needs.
- Communicate changes in patient condition or concerns immediately to the Charge Nurse or RN.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment to prevent infections and accidents.
- Document all care activities and patient interactions accurately in the electronic health record system.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in good standing (required).
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care facility, or home health setting preferred.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift and assist patients up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
