The Role
You will play a crucial role in the daily lives of our patients, providing high-quality care and support in a professional medical environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient needs.
- Support the nursing staff with wound care, catheter care, and medication reminders.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient status and concerns.
Qualifications
- Current, active Virginia CNA License (required).
- High School Diploma or GED (required).
- Basic computer skills and ability to use electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform heavy cleaning tasks.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
