Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Provide compassionate emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Document patient care plans, updates, and medical history accurately and timely.
- Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and the interdisciplinary care team regarding patient status.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for all patients and staff.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Pennsylvania CNA Certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (CPR required).
- Strong compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift patients, and perform manual tasks.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting is preferred.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
