Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming, while maintaining patient dignity and comfort.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, respiration, temperature) accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist the nursing staff with mobility support, transfers, and positioning of patients to prevent falls and pressure ulcers.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nurses, strictly adhering to safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Document patient observations and care plans in the electronic medical record system.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Texas.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred but not required for top candidates.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
- Pass a background check and drug screen.
