Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring their dignity and comfort.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature, accurately and timely.
- Assist registered nurses and physicians with patient care activities, including treatments, procedures, and documentation.
- Respond to patient inquiries and emergencies promptly, following established safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment to prevent infections and accidents.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient conditions and needs.
- Support patients and their families during critical times, providing emotional support and education.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Georgia State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- CPR (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred but not always required.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients safely as needed.
- Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to patient-centered care.
