Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Medication Assistance: Support patients with medication reminders and ensure adherence to prescribed treatment plans under the supervision of RNs or LPNs.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient changes, concerns, and needs to the nursing staff and healthcare team.
- Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized environment for patients and assist with mobility and transfer procedures safely.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and clinical notes as required by facility policy.
Qualifications
- Active CNA License: Must hold a current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant license in the state of Ohio.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is preferred but not always required for top candidates.
- CPR Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and families.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift patients (up to 50 lbs), and perform physical tasks required in patient care.
