Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rate, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting to the nursing team.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support, with a focus on dignity and comfort.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, fostering a positive and healing environment.
- Prepare and serve meals according to strict dietary restrictions and individual patient needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Communicate effectively with RNs, LPNs, and physicians to report any changes in patient conditions immediately.
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for all.
Qualifications
- Current, active, and unencumbered CNA license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Previous experience in a clinical or home health setting is preferred but not required for top candidates.
- Strong understanding of basic nursing procedures, hygiene, and patient care techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong commitment to patient privacy (HIPAA compliance).
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed, demonstrating physical stamina and reliability.
- Reliable computer skills for documentation and communication via remote platforms.
