Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including walking and transferring to wheelchairs.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient needs.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and patients' families regarding patient status.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Louisiana CNA license.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care facility is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
