Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Medication Assistance: Support the nursing team in administering medications and documenting administration.
- Emotional Support: Offer compassionate care and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Infection Control: Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in accordance with health department regulations.
- Communication: Report changes in patient condition to the Charge Nurse or RN immediately.
Qualifications
- Certification: Active, unencumbered CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) license in the state of Indiana.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting preferred.
- Training: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification required.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for patient care.
- Reliability: Ability to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
