Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with Mobility: Support patients with transfers, walking, and positioning to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Medication Assistance: Under the supervision of a registered nurse, remind patients to take their prescribed medications.
- Document Care: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and care logs in compliance with facility standards.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to patient emergencies and call signals, following established safety protocols.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure holistic care.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license or state certification.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is preferred.
- Training: Completion of an accredited nursing assistant training program.
- License: Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification are required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassion: Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for helping others.
- Availability: Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
