Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Monitor Health Status: Observe and report any changes in resident condition, mood, or behavior to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist with Mobility: Help residents move safely between beds, wheelchairs, and common areas using proper transfer techniques.
- Medication Assistance: Assist residents with medication reminders as directed by licensed nurses.
- Communication: Act as the primary communicator between residents, families, and the healthcare team.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for residents.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current, unencumbered Arizona CNA License required.
- Training: High School Diploma or GED preferred; completion of an accredited CNA program.
- BLS Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification required.
- Experience: Previous experience in long-term care or home health is a plus but not always required for the right candidate.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Schedule: Ability to work rotating night shifts (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM or 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM).
