Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Monitor and accurately record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
  • Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation to ensure safety.
  • Prepare meals and assist patients with eating according to specific dietary restrictions.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team regarding patient status.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in compliance with infection control standards.
  • Document all care activities and observations in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).

Qualifications

  • Current Washington State CNA Certification (WA CNA) required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff.
  • Previous experience in long-term care or a hospital setting is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull patients weighing up to 250 lbs.
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care with a positive attitude.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts as needed.
