Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation to ensure safety.
- Prepare meals and assist patients with eating according to specific dietary restrictions.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team regarding patient status.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in compliance with infection control standards.
- Document all care activities and observations in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
Qualifications
- Current Washington State CNA Certification (WA CNA) required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff.
- Previous experience in long-term care or a hospital setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients weighing up to 250 lbs.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care with a positive attitude.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts as needed.
