Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms following OSHA protocols
- Take and develop accurate dental X-rays using digital radiography systems
- Manage patient records and digital charting using Dentrix software
- Provide post-operative instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene
- Order inventory and maintain efficient supply chain management
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure seamless appointment scheduling
Qualifications
- Dental Assisting Diploma or Certificate from accredited program
- Current CPR/BLS certification and radiology license (PA state)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with digital imaging (DEXIS, Schick) and practice management software
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
- Strong attention to detail and infection control expertise
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced clinical environments
