Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, surgical, and orthodontic treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain HIPAA-compliant patient records
- Take accurate dental radiographs and perform chairside assistance with digital imaging
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and coordinate lab cases with technicians
- Provide exceptional patient education on post-operative care and oral hygiene
- Coordinate scheduling and ensure seamless patient flow throughout the day
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or RDA required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general or specialty dentistry
- Current CPR/BLS certification and X-ray radiation safety license
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar practice management software
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and OSHA standards
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to manage anxious patients
- Detail-oriented with excellent manual dexterity and multitasking abilities
