Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to sterilization protocols and maintain a clean, sanitized treatment room.
- Diagnostic Support: Take and develop digital X-rays, impressions, and models as directed by the dentist.
- Patient Care: Greet patients, update medical histories, and educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques.
- Instrument Management: Sort, clean, and sterilize dental instruments and equipment efficiently.
- Administrative Tasks: Manage appointment scheduling, answer phones, and handle billing inquiries.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current state license as a Dental Assistant (RDA/CDA) in Texas.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Radiography certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a general dentistry setting preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix) is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow precise instructions and maintain high standards of accuracy.
